How a Kenmore wall oven reports a fault
Kenmore wall ovens were built by more than one OEM — Frigidaire and Whirlpool are both represented in the lineup — and the fault-code family depends on which one built your unit.
Frigidaire-built wall ovens
F10 is a runaway temperature — safety-critical: disconnect power and do not use the oven until it is repaired. F30 means an open bake-temperature probe and F31 a shorted probe. F90 means the door latch will not unlock after a self-clean cycle.
Whirlpool-built wall ovens
F1 is an Electronic Range Control board fault. F2E0 is a shorted keypad. F3E0/F3E1 means the RTD oven-temperature sensor is open or shorted.
What to check, and when to call
For a one-off door-latch code after self-clean, let the oven cool fully and power-cycle at the breaker for five minutes. A stuck-keypad code often clears after the panel dries. A runaway-temperature code means you stop using the oven immediately. A recurring sensor, door-latch, or control code needs an experienced, independent technician with the correct genuine OEM part matched to your oven’s actual builder.
