How a Kenmore dishwasher reports a fault

F2 means a water leak was detected. F2E2 is a main-control communication error. F6E1 is a user-interface error, F6E2 a water-inlet-valve winding fault, F6E3 a suds alarm (excess suds, usually the wrong soap), and F6E4 a float-switch/overfill condition, often from incorrect leveling. Frigidaire-built (587-series)
Frigidaire-built Kenmore dishwashers use a lowercase “i”-prefixed code system, a well-known industry pattern.
